To Download free email sound bytes do the following.
First, open the sound byte and click on “save target as”
Save the sound byte to your desktop or to a file you can find easily.
Click on your start menu.
Click on Control panel.
Click on Sounds and Audio Devices
Scroll down the Program events list to New Mail Notification, and click on it.
Click on Browse, lower right had portion of the screen.
Normally at the top of the next screen you will see a folder with a green arrow on it that points up. Click on it until you get to the desktop, or the folder you have saved the sound byte to and select it.
There is a small button that has the play symbol, if you like you can click on it to hear the sound byte before you apply it.
Click apply.
Click ok.
That should do it.
If your email is web based and part of your browser set up, you may need to see what options are available to you on your browser to change sound settings.
